Brand/Manufacturer: Bassett-Lowke
Bassett-Lowke was founded in Northampton in 1898 or 1899 by Wenman Joseph Bassett-Lowke. The company specialised directly in model railways, boats and ships, and kits. In 1965 the company sadly closed and the rights to the models were given to Corgi Toys. When Corgi Toys was taken over by Hornby in 2008, the company also obtained the corresponding rights from Bassett-Lowke. Through Hornby, the brand continues to be distributed and is now known for its more steampunk design.
