Revell GmbH was founded in 1956 as a German subsidiary of the Revell-Monogram company. Through Heinz-Georg Schöneberg and German funding, the company was founded in Bünde, Westphalia.
They soon began producing their own products using injection moulds made in the USA. They focused on precise historical kits. The company broke away from the original parent company in 2006 and was taken over by the US group Hobbico in 2012 and then sold to QCP.
