Model: HO gauge. Kit. From a visible manner, the high town hall tower shows the visitor the right way to the beautiful old town of the city of Leer. Located directly on the idyllic inland port, the imposing building together with the historic scale forms a picturesque ensemble. Even today, the town house, built in the style of the German Renaissance, enchants its guests, who amazed the magnificent ceiling and wall paintings in the long indoor-like corridors. Once designed by the Aachen Professor Henrici and built under the supervision of the city architect Carl Jipp von Maurermeister E. Schumacher from Leer, today's old town hall is one of the outstanding sights in the region. The city of Leer was not for as long as city rights when this cityscape was ceremoniously inaugurated in 1894. Just 71 years had passed in Leer since the urban constitution was founded (source www.leer.de).
