Eurowings Airbus A320 BVB Fanairbus D-AEWM in 1:400 scale. Eurowings has been a partner of Borussia Dortmund since the 2016/17 football season. With the BVB Fan Airbus, Eurowings is the first airline in the world to dedicate its own aircraft to football fans: The Airbus A320, registered under the registration D-AEWM, flies in a special black and yellow livery as an ambassador for top football and fan culture in Eurowings' European route network - preferably from Dortmund, Germany Home location of the BVB Fanairbus. BVB fans were actively involved in the design of the aircraft in advance. They had a say in which most popular moments and stars from BVB history should be immortalized on the plane. After voting by over 10,000 Borussia players, the winning motifs were determined. A highly demanding challenge when painting the Airbus, as the illustrations of the nine most legendary BVB moments had to be designed in such a way that football fans could immediately identify players and hero scenes. This was implemented and staged in the drawing style of the football artists “Hands of God”.

Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.

In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
