Model: TT gauge DC. Reissue with new road number. The vehicles from kuehn-modell are long to scale and have crankcouplers for close couplers at both ends.
Prototype: After the DR Reichsbahn initially had fixed-coupled articulated trains with double-decker cars in use, they reallocated them for practical reasons. In 1974, the first series of double-deck single wagons was delivered. Only five years later, these vehicles were repainted in "fawn-birch grey" - which earned them the nickname "mustard pots". These wagons were also used in Berlin's local traffic, where they were given a red-beige colour scheme and their own nickname: "Sputnik". In 1986, a slightly modified second series followed, and in 1991, even a third. Following the current circumstances, the German railways repainted the "DR-Dostos" after reunification in white-mint green (even with the DR logo in light green!) and finally in the ubiquitous traffic red.
