Prototype: The rectifier locomotives (built by SLM/BBC) delivered at the end of 1964 already fulfilled the specified specifications during the first test runs. The locomotive with a total weight of only 80 tons is able to take over the entire transport program of the Ae 6/8 and Ae 6/6, but with significantly less maintenance. A total of 35 machines of this type were delivered to the BLS. As a result of the number confusion in the BLS vehicle fleet, the machines were renumbered as Re 4/4 from 1969 onwards, and the locomotives were given community names with coats of arms a little later. In order to achieve an increase in the trailer load of 900 tons, the BLS chose a rather unconventional solution; The Ae 8/8 was created by assembling two Ae 4/4. From 1959 onwards, this first monster was seen on regular operations; A total of 5 of these double locomotives were on the BLS rail network in 1966.
The first model produced was a steam locomotive 141 R in H0 gauge. In the following years, Fulgurex brought further models in gauges 0; 1 and N onto the market.
Fulgurex has always been known for its finely detailed handcrafted locomotives.
