Model: O gauge DC. Model of the British Ruston in 1:45 scale with many era and locomotive specific details. This model features a die-cast metal chassis, body frame and step plate, complemented by plastic cab and engine cowlings. All vehicles have a 40.54mm wheelbase, allowing operation over a minimum radius of 1020mm. Prototype couplings include a choice of metal 3-link or screw couplings. Brake pads are fitted for 0 gauge and aligned with the wheel centres so they do not drag on the rims. The undercarriage is fully detailed with die-cast components including all cylinders, linkages and separately attached pipes. Other detailed parts in eroded metal, plastic and wire include handrails, door handles, lamp brackets, braking devices, brake discs, drawbars, vents, louvres, grilles and manufacturer's plates. The model also features prism-free flush glazing and an easily removable cab roof to allow access to the cab interior for customer detailing. Spring-loaded metal buffers and draw hooks are also included. The model features authentic paintwork, markings and numbers appropriate to the period modelled, achieved through part painting and pad printing.
