Model: HOe gauge. Steam locomotive kit Saxon K IV, in white metal and brass construction, Faulhaber bell-armature motor with flywheel, drive and power consumption across all driving and coupling axles.

Prototype: In 1881 the Royal Saxon State Railroad (K.Sä.Sts.B.) opened the first of a total of 30 narrow-gauge railways. During the construction of the 561 km long route network, a track width of 750 mm was chosen for the most part. The steep and winding routes soon became a challenge for many locomotive builders: The double locomotive II K imported from England, the III K with the Klose engine, the articulated locomotive IV K type Meyer or the V K with Klien-Lindner hollow axles had engine designs that were expensive to maintain. It was only with the VI K, which was procured for the former Heeresfeldbahnen in 1918, that powerful and - with side-shifting Gölsdorf system wheelsets - simply built 750 mm machines came. Occurring signs of wear and tear forced the DR to modernize and refuel some locomotives from 1963 onwards. Nevertheless, the VI K disappeared from service in 1975, not least because of the high axle loads.
The Bemo company has been manufacturing railroad models in large-scale plastic technology in Uhingen (Baden-Württemberg) since 1976. 25 employees mainly produce models in the scales 1:87 and 1:45, but in the meantime there are also some 1:160 models in the program. The H0 models are mainly narrow gauge models in H0e and H0m based on models of Swiss, Austrian and German railroads. The gauge 0 models are offered without exception as 0m, i.e. as meter gauge models, after prototypes of the Rhaetian Railway. Also in H0, besides many models of diesel railcars, many different cars of the Rhaetian Railway are offered, so that the normal H0 model railroader can look forward to beautiful trains from the Swiss Alps. In N gauge, you can currently find models of the RegioShuttle from ADtranz/Stadler in the Bemo program.

In the development and production, great emphasis is placed on uncompromising replication, also, if possible, entire train sets are offered. Narrow gauge track systems in H0e and H0m as well as a track system in 0m complete the Bemo range.
