Model: gauge HOm 12mm DC. Equipped with a 5-pole motor, flywheel, 18-pin digital interface, headlights, taillight, interior lighting, cab lighting, simulated interior details, and a speaker (only functional when retrofitted with a sound decoder). Power is drawn from all wheels. The lighting functions can be switched analogously via DIP switches or digitally when equipped with a digital decoder.
Recommended minimum radius: 360 mm.
We use Zimo decoders for the digitization and sound versions ex works. The sound version comes with sound and additional sounds created exclusively for us. You can select the factory sound version by checking the boxes for "Digital" and "with sound" above the shopping cart field for the item. Both versions can also be used in analog mode.
Prototype: The Sylt Island Railway built five semi-trailer railcars with Borgward power cars between 1952 and 1954. These were built from B4000 trucks and trailers of their own manufacture. The Borgward trains were used on the 35km route from List to Hörnum, turning at each end.
The depot was located in Westerland, midway along the route. From the late 1950s, the ivory livery was changed to more colorful versions (some with advertising), as the sea air required annual maintenance on the vehicles.
At the end of 1970, the Sylt Island Railway ceased operations.

Model railways Union is the exclusive importer in Europe for the companies Microace and Modemo from Japan, Dapol from Great Britain and Os.kar from Italy.
Another focus today is the production of our own model railways and laser-cut kits as well as the ordering and sale of exclusive models from well-known manufacturers such as Liliput, Rivarossi, Arnold and Dapol. Information about the range can be found at info.modellbahnunion.com.
