Model: HOe gauge. German Railways narrow gauge diesel locomotive V 51 902. Ready-made model made of metal, powered by a 3-pole motor.
Cannot be re-gauged to HOm.

Prototype: The first narrow gauge train of the Königlich Württembergische Staats-Eisenbahnen (Royal Württemberg State Railways) steamed on metre gauge tracks from Nagold to Altensteig in 1891. In the following years, the K.W.St.E opened the Bottwartalbahn Marbach-Heilbronn Süd, the Zabergäubahn Lauffen-Leonbronn and the two Upper Swabian railways Schussenried-Riedlingen and Biberach-Ochsenhausen - all with a gauge of 750 mm. Initially, the K.W.St.E. relied on various steam locomotive designs with Klose engines. This was followed between 1898 and 1913 by the Tssd Mallet locomotives, also supplied by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen. They and some sä. VI K, taken over from Saxony or rebuilt by the DRG, dominated the scene for a long time. Even the five V51/V52 diesel locomotives for 750 mm or metre gauge delivered by Gmeinder in 1964 could not prevent the decline of the romantic railways in Upper Swabia, the Neckar Valley and the Black Forest: In the mid to late 1960s, the five Württemberg DB narrow-gauge railways came to an end; only freight traffic on the 'Öchsle' remained until 1983. An attractive museum operation was established on what was once the last DB narrow-gauge railway on the mainland.
The Bemo company has been manufacturing railroad models in large-scale plastic technology in Uhingen (Baden-Württemberg) since 1976. 25 employees mainly produce models in the scales 1:87 and 1:45, but in the meantime there are also some 1:160 models in the program. The H0 models are mainly narrow gauge models in H0e and H0m based on models of Swiss, Austrian and German railroads. The gauge 0 models are offered without exception as 0m, i.e. as meter gauge models, after prototypes of the Rhaetian Railway. Also in H0, besides many models of diesel railcars, many different cars of the Rhaetian Railway are offered, so that the normal H0 model railroader can look forward to beautiful trains from the Swiss Alps. In N gauge, you can currently find models of the RegioShuttle from ADtranz/Stadler in the Bemo program.

In the development and production, great emphasis is placed on uncompromising replication, also, if possible, entire train sets are offered. Narrow gauge track systems in H0e and H0m as well as a track system in 0m complete the Bemo range.
