Brand/Manufacturer: Kato

"Kato" is a brand of the Japanese model railway manufacturer "K.K. Sekisui Kinzoku", which was founded in Tokyo in 1957. In 1986, the subsidiaries "K.K. Kato" in Tokyo and "KATO USA" in Illinois followed. Over the years, it became the largest Japanese model railway manufacturer.

The manufacturer gained international fame for its railcar replicas in N and H0 gauges, including German prototypes and the models of the Shinkansen high-speed train. The focus from the 1970s to the 2000s was initially on N gauge, but for some years now more and more H0 products have also been produced.

Since 1990, Lemke GmbH has been known as the general importer for most European countries.
