Gauge HO direct current. Version with company number 2480-0572003-7, epoch IV

The model railway Union Gauge HO models of the Tcefs 845 wagons on a scale of 1:87 are characterized by detailed design and printing, the side sliding doors can be opened. Different addresses as well as different paint conditions or touch-up traces based on the service time are also taken into account. All models have a close coupling link and NEM coupler mounts as well as standard bow couplers. Optionally, we offer AC axes for the conversion. The LüP is 14.3 cm per car.

Prototype: For the use of freight cars in traffic to Great Britain, freight cars were required that corresponded to the smaller British loading gauge and, in addition to the well-known air brakes, also had the suction air brake system that was common in Great Britain. The DB therefore put the Gbtmks 66 (later Tcefs 845) into service in 1964 as a new design. It was built by the Gebr. Credé company in Kassel. The wagons were suitable for continuous ferry traffic and thus saved time-consuming reloading at the ferry ports. The wagons were 12.5 m long with a loading width of only 2.3 m. The models were labeled as early as 1964 according to the standards of later Era IV. The wagons proved themselves in use and were used up until Era V. Due to the international use, the wagons had very eye-catching, multilingual lettering. Two examples are now on display in the Bochum Dahlhausen Railway Museum.

Modellbahn Union was founded in 1999 under the name JapanModelRailways. The focus was initially on importing railway models from Japan.
Over the years, the range has been expanded to include model making items such as aircraft and military model construction as well as model railways from other countries.
Model railways Union is the exclusive importer in Europe for the companies Microace and Modemo from Japan, Dapol from Great Britain and Os.kar from Italy.
Another focus today is the production of our own model railways and laser-cut kits as well as the ordering and sale of exclusive models from well-known manufacturers such as Liliput, Rivarossi, Arnold and Dapol. Information about the range can be found at info.modellbahnunion.com.

You can only get the Modellbahn Union models directly from us.
