Model: HO gauge DC. Handcrafted small series model of the electric three-phase alternating current locomotive Fc 2x2/2 No. 4 of the Burgdorf-Thun railway. Fulgurex is building this locomotive in small series for the 125th anniversary of the BTB. The model has many details such as an expanded driver's cab, lighting and much more. The driving characteristics and lighting can be programmed via the built-in ESU decoder. Minimum radius 420 mm.

Model: The Burgdorf-Thun line was originally opened and operated by the SCB (Swiss Central Railway) in 1859. From 1898 this section became the independent railway company BTB (Burgdorf-Thun-Bahn). The route led from Burgdorf via Konolfingen to Thun (Olten was later incorporated). Incidentally, from 1899 it was the first electric mainline railway in Switzerland, with a route length of just over 40 km. The route was operated with three-phase current 15kV, 16.7Hz. The first (large) locomotive was ordered from the BBC/SLM in 1910, a three-phase electric locomotive of the type Fc 2x2/2 (practically one of Switzerland's first "crocodiles"). In terms of box, the locomotive was similar to the Italian Simplon locomotives of the Valtelina Bahn or SBB Fb 3/5, but the engine was completely different and much simpler. The locomotive was powered by 2 engines via rod drive (bogies). This gave the locomotive a somewhat "empty" look in terms of chassis, but was very efficient for the time; Hourly output 580 hp at 425 kW at a top speed of 60 km/h and 170 tons of towing capacity at 25 per mille gradients. Based on the positive experiences, an additional locomotive of the same type (No. 4) was purchased. With these locomotives there was no need for pre-tensioning at all. In contrast to most electric locomotives at the time, the two Fc 2x2/2 were not painted brown, but green. It was decommissioned as a result of the power change around 1930, although the plan was to adapt the No. 4 locomotive with the normal Panto and the new power system, hence the larger locomotive body.

Antonio Giansanti Coluzzi, a collector of tin railways founded the model railway shop Fulgurex in Switzerland in 1947. It also became the official distributor of the VB brand. In 1962, the production of their own brass models began in cooperation with Tenshodo.

The first model produced was a steam locomotive 141 R in H0 gauge. In the following years, Fulgurex brought further models in gauges 0; 1 and N onto the market.

Fulgurex has always been known for its finely detailed handcrafted locomotives.
