Model: HO gauge DC. RENFE diesel multiple unit 596 "Regional R1".

Prototype: The RENFE class 596 consists of 25 diesel railcars that were converted from the two power cars with driver's cabs of a class 593 railcar. The conversion work was carried out at MIT in Valladolid, where a new driver's cab was installed at the cab-less end, a new, more comfortable and open interior was created, and the transmission and control of the diesel engine were improved. These railcars are used on routes with low traffic volumes and low utilisation in regional and regional express services. Currently, they operate on the Murcia-Cartagena, Zaragoza-Huesca-Canfranc and Vigo-Valença do Minho lines. They are also used as a reserve on the Vigo-Pontevedra route.
Electrotren is a Spanish manufacturer of model trains belonging to Hornby Railways. As early as 1951, model trains for the 0 gauge were produced. 3 years later, products in H0 were added, later also a few N-gauge products, which are continued under Arnold today. Electrotren mainly implements models based on the Spanish model, but models for suitable countries such as France, Switzerland and Germany are also repeatedly implemented.
