With the help of its energy storage (with 6x1 Farad capacity), both the noise and the light and motor functions are buffered, ensuring that your models can continue to drive without power for up to 3 seconds, depending on power consumption.
The PowerPack Midi, which is equipped with a microcontroller for the first time, has an integrated charging circuit and is controlled by the decoder. It can therefore remain in the locomotive during programming. The charging current is also limited to prevent excessive strain on your booster if multiple models are in use. The buffer time can be limited using a CV on the decoder side, so that red signals also lead to an exact signal stop. The output voltage is adjusted fully automatically to the rail voltage by the microcontroller in order to avoid flickering of the lighting when buffering is activated.
The space requirement of the PowerPack Midi of approx. 20.5 mm x 13.5 mm x 14.5 mm must be taken into account when installing. A 3-pin cable connection is required between the decoder and PowerPack Midi.

The digital center ECoS, LokPilot 5, LokSound 5 and the Nano decoders are the distance horses in the ESU range. Modellbahn Union also cooperates very closely with ESU and has already had exclusive sound models implemented for its own products as well as remaining stock. At the same time, further exclusive models in the rolling area are sought, as well as close cooperation in the implementation of Modellbahn Union's own products.
