Prototype: With the introduction of commuter trains in 1996, the SBB acquired 60 type IC Bt control cars. The 62-seat vehicle is conceptually based on the well-known Eurocity cars. It also features a wheelchair, stroller, and bicycle compartment, as well as a closed toilet system with a bioreactor. The head shape and driver's cab are largely identical to those of the Re 460 locomotives, thus achieving a uniform appearance.

Here, too, Roco is a pioneer. The Roco factory in Arad was the first factory in the model railway industry to be certified according to ISO 9001 by the German DQS GmbH.
