Model: HO gauge. Truck model on a scale of 1:87, representing a Scania CS 20 HD refrigerated box semitrailer lorry. The model was modelled on a real lorry from the company Frank Seis Vieh & Fleisch from Aurach in Bavaria. The model has numerous details such as company logos, refrigerated box bodies, mirrors and headlights.
Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.
In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
