Model: HO gauge. This is how classic fire services were created: Wiking received an inquiry as early as the 1960s when the fire truck manufacturer Rosenbauer from Austria wanted to have its airfield fire engine miniaturized. The fact that Wiking boss Fritz Peltzer dictated his reply letter just eight days after receiving the request and that Konrad Rosenbauer KG presented a strategically appropriate model solution suggests that the offer was processed quickly but meticulously. Peltzers liked the airport fire fighting vehicle FLF-A 3000 on the chassis of the Mercedes Benz 322 - the model followed on the existing chassis of the Mercedes-Benz short-hood. Now Wiking is submitting a version in beige desert sand paint from historical forms.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
