Decorative strips and door handles on the driver's cab are silver-plated. Hand-silvered headlights.
The fire brigades in the first two post-war decades did not have it with front-wheel drivers, the Haubers were valued. The Mercedes Benz Pullman chassis remained exceptional in the fire stations and was only occasionally put into regular service. Accordingly, the example of the Wiking model with a turntable ladder structure at the Mannheim location is quite a rarity. It was not until the 1970s that the tide slowly turned, because after the Pullman series and the cubic series, it was only the next generation that succeeded in gaining a foothold there, in order to finally end the Hauber era with the fire services.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
