HPT is one of Denmark's leading providers of effective logistics and service solutions, specializing in overland transport throughout Europe. More than 290 employees take care of the transport of temperature-sensitive goods and medical goods. 90 percent of all import and export transports are handled at the transport and terminal center in Pattburg, Denmark. 20,000,000 kilometers are covered every year.
Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.
In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
