Prototype: Wulfen (Westf.) Station is now a station, converted back into a halt, located in the immediate vicinity of the old town center of the Dorsten district of Wulfen. It is located at kilometer mark 30.7 on the Oberhausen - Rheine - Quakenbrück line. This line was intended to ensure the supply of coal for the Imperial Navy in Emden and Wilhelmshaven, but also to improve ore transport for the steelworks in the Ruhr region.
Opened on July 1, 1879, by the Rhenish Railway, Wulfen Station served as an independent station until 1954. It was then subordinated to Lembeck Station, and from 1977 to Dorsten Station. Ticket sales ended in 1976. The freight depot was also closed in 1998. The sidings were dismantled in 1996. Since September 15, 2003, Wulfen has been a mere halt with a block post.
The listed standard building, like many others along this line, is an expression of high-quality railway architecture from the Wilhelminian era. (See station buildings in Osterfeld Nord, Bottrop Nord, Dorsten, Reken, Darfeld, etc.)
