Model: HO gauge. Finished model of an M3A1 armoured reconnaissance vehicle of the US Army. The M3A1 was one of the last armoured wheeled reconnaissance vehicles of the US Army and was replaced by tracked vehicles such as the M41 Walker Bulldog. The model is hand-built from resin and photo-etched parts and then hand-painted and lightly aged.

Artitec is a manufacturer from the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam. When the company was founded in the 1980s, Artitec was a diorama and model maker who built models for museums, architects and shipyards. As an old highlight, there is still the Texel Roadstead diorama. This experience gave rise to the idea of developing and producing own products for model railroaders and builders in the nineties. Starting with houses, accessories and historical ship models. Subsequently, rail vehicles, mainly based on the Dutch model, were built independently. Even if the military range has not been part of Artitec for a long time, it is already very successful. The finished models are of course made and painted by hand. Artitec's aim is to make history and stories as realistic as possible. You can find more videos from Artitec on our YouTube channel.
