Model: HO gauge. The Westerland Central Station on Sylt is one of the most striking railway station buildings in northern Germany. This H0-scale model depicts the Marschbahn’s terminus station in its original 1927 design. The real station opened in 1927 and remains the terminus of the railway line to the island of Sylt to this day. Characteristic of the station is its North German clinker brick architecture, featuring a large hipped roof, numerous windows, and a striking central section.
The model depicts the station in its historical condition prior to the renovation and the addition of the glass extensions on the track side around 1995. This makes the building particularly suitable for layouts with a historical or classic Bundesbahn theme.
Despite its imposing prototype, the H0 model has comparatively compact dimensions. It can therefore be used both as a terminus station and as the station building for a through station or a side station.
Highlights:
Model of Westerland Central Station on Sylt
Terminal station of the well-known Marschbahn
Prototype condition from 1927 to around the mid-1990s
Typical North German clinker brick architecture
Suitable for both terminal and through stations
Impressive station building with a manageable footprint
Ideal for North German and DB railway scenes in H0 scale
Former MKB part number: 9002.
