Model: HO gauge. Scania CS 20 steel round trough semi-trailer Markus Mangel. Markus Mangel Transporte is based in Marienhausen. The small company primarily drives steel round bodies, but also low-loaders. From bulk goods to straw/hay bales, old caravans are also sometimes loaded up and taken from A to B. The simple red Scanias usually have the griffin attached. The love for Scania is usually also evident on the trailers. Markus Mangel can also be found at the Nürburgring when the Truck Grand Prix starts there every July. The model appears in a one-off edition.
The finished model is made of plastic, painted and printed.
Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.
In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
