Model: HO gauge. The road guards of the 1960s knew that he could be relied on no matter the wind or weather. This Mercedes-Benz LAK 710 flatbed tipper truck in 1:87 reflects the former reality in the construction yards of cities and road construction authorities. Those responsible wanted the highest degree of flexibility from their emergency vehicles. Based on a maneuverable truck, the platform should be tiltable and easy to load anywhere. WIiking miniaturizes the traditional short hood from Mercedes-Benz with numerous details and also provides it with the pleasing decorations that made the Mercedes-Benz hoods so characteristic in those years. In addition, the tiltable tipper makes the short-hood truck a real construction site classic. The compact and equally manoeuvrable tipper truck was known in municipal construction yards and road maintenance depots. Of course, the headlights are transparent. At Mercedes-Benz in Mannheim, the 7.5-ton and 14-ton trucks for distribution transport and construction site use rolled off the production line.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
