Model: HO gauge. Finished model made of plastic, painted and printed. The basis of the new four-axle heavy-duty truck is a three-axle chassis with a short wheelbase. MAN sends this to its partner Wierda in the Netherlands. The Dutch equipped the 6×4 model with a steered 10-ton axle to make the MAN TGX 37,580 fit for heavy-duty operations. The air-suspended chassis offers the driver more driving comfort. Herpa has now implemented the original accordingly and also given the short 4-axle vehicle a new tower.

Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.

In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
