Model: HO gauge. With the legendary three-axle trailer with a swing axle based on the Vidal model, Wiking had struck lucky back in the 1950s. Entire generations of model fans were enthusiastic about this trailer because it was able to level out all the unevenness of the ground in a prototypical manner. Slight waves on the tablecloth could be taken quickly when playing! Now Wiking is creating a reunion with the Henschel front handlebar and the classic trailer - new and old forms complement each other with contemporary authenticity. The prototype of the trailer even made it onto the front page of the Henschel brochure in the 1950s. The truck driver's cab of the 1:87 model naturally has an implied curtain, otherwise the Kassel truck enjoys filigree decorative printing. The Henschel HS 165 T stands for the era of cab-over-engines that began in the mid-1950s. With the T behind the type symbol, the Kassel truck builders abbreviated the hoodless construction of the tram version. In 1955, the HS 165 T followed its predecessor, which had been built just two years earlier. Both differed only in the cooling water filler neck, so that the Wiking model shows the later representative, which ran off the assembly line until 1961.
Green-beige driver's cab, black radiator grille and ivory interior. Chassis with cardan section and Trilex rims in oxide red. Platform, insert and rear fenders green-beige. Plane alpine blue. Trailer with chassis, swing axle, turntable and drawbar as well as Trilex rims oxide red. Platform, insert and fender edges green-beige. Plane alpine blue.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
