Model: HO gauge. DAF XG refrigerated semi-trailer truck P. Daemen. P.DAEMEN was founded almost 90 years ago. In the beginning, gardeners' products were transported from Maasbree to Venlo for auction. The company grew and the next generation took over. They moved from the village center to a nearby commercial area to enable further growth (offices, warehouses, garages and their own car wash). The current third generation has specialized in refrigerated freight. The vehicles can be found in the Benelux countries, Germany, Switzerland and also in Austria. The DAF XG with refrigerated box trailer is released in a limited edition.
The finished model is made of plastic, painted and printed.
Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.
In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
