Model: HO gauge. In the H.P. Schlenter model series, this Liebherr A918 wheeled excavator is now the sixth model in the Herpa range. The company H. P. Schlenter was founded over 70 years ago and is now run by the second and third generation. The company employs 30 people who move as many as 50 vehicles. The model (based on the A920) is a limited edition.

Wilhelm Hergenröther founded the company in Nuremberg in 1949. The company name is composed of the name Hergenröther Patent. Initially, the company produced model railway accessories. In 1961, Riwa-Plastik, a plastic parts manufacturer for the photo and phono industry, was founded.

In 1965, Herpa was taken over by this company. Both brand names continue to be used. The first 1/87th scale car model was presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Two years later, the first truck model in the same scale followed. Over the years, the magazine "MASS:STAB" is published. Since then, six copies have been published annually.
