A 40ft high-cube container is an evolution of the classic 40ft standard container, offering approximately 30 cm of additional interior height. This increased loading volume makes it exceptionally versatile. A 40ft high-cube container is used wherever additional loading volume, flexible transport routes, and global standardization are required. It is particularly suitable for transporting and storing bulky, lightweight, or palletized goods and is an integral part of modern international freight transport. High-cube containers are a standard format in overseas and rail transport. They are used worldwide on container ships, freight trains, and semi-trailers. Thanks to ISO standard dimensions, high-cube containers can be easily transferred between ship, rail, and road—a significant advantage for companies with global supply chains.

Modellbahn Union was founded in 1999 under the name JapanModelRailways. The focus was initially on importing railway models from Japan.
Over the years, the range has been expanded to include model making items such as aircraft and military model construction as well as model railways from other countries.
Model railways Union is the exclusive importer in Europe for the companies Microace and Modemo from Japan, Dapol from Great Britain and Os.kar from Italy.
