Prototype: The RENFE Class 444 EMU was developed in the late 1970s to replace the older Class 432 in medium- and long-distance service. Unit 444-011 operated in the characteristic blue and white livery of Era V. From 2001 onwards, numerous units of this series were transferred abroad, particularly to Chile. The remaining units remained in service on Spanish regional routes until around 2008 and were subsequently retired.

Electrotren is a Spanish manufacturer of model trains belonging to Hornby Railways. As early as 1951, model trains for the 0 gauge were produced. 3 years later, products in H0 were added, later also a few N-gauge products, which are continued under Arnold today. Electrotren mainly implements models based on the Spanish model, but models for suitable countries such as France, Switzerland and Germany are also repeatedly implemented.
