Recommended minimum radius: 420 mm. The model is capable of negotiating a 360 mm radius curved turnout at a reasonable speed without regard to the clearance gauge. Negotiating S-curves with a 360 mm radius is not possible.
For the digital version, we use a Zimo decoder for the sound version. The decoder is mfx compatible. The sound version comes with sound recorded and created exclusively for us by LeoSoundLab using the original vehicle, along with additional sound effects. You can select the factory-installed sound option by checking the box next to "factory-installed with sound" above the shopping cart field for the item. If you would like to use the model in analog mode as well, please select the "Märklin Analog Operation" option.
The Rhein Ruhr Express (RRX) went into operation on December 9th, 2018. Lines RE1, 4, 5, 6 and 11 are now operated as RRX with Desiro HC multiple units, usually in double traction. Initially, the lines were operated by Abellio and National Express, but now National Express is solely responsible. The trains are serviced at the Siemens Rail Service Center in Dortmund-Eving.

Modellbahn Union was founded in 1999 under the name JapanModelRailways. The focus was initially on importing railway models from Japan.
Over the years, the range has been expanded to include model making items such as aircraft and military model construction as well as model railways from other countries.
Model railways Union is the exclusive importer in Europe for the companies Microace and Modemo from Japan, Dapol from Great Britain and Os.kar from Italy.
