Model: HO gauge DC. Renfe series 279 electric locomotive.

Prototype: The 279 series locomotives (ex 7900) were the first electric locomotives in the large family of Japanese locomotives ordered by RENFE. This series of 16 units, acquired between 1967 and 1968, was designed for use on routes with different voltages, so it has dual voltage equipment suitable for operation at 1500 and 3000 V. In addition, it was versatile and was suitable for transporting both goods and passengers. The results were so good that the company subsequently placed several orders for similar locomotives, creating the 289 and 269 series.
Electrotren is a Spanish manufacturer of model trains belonging to Hornby Railways. As early as 1951, model trains for the 0 gauge were produced. 3 years later, products in H0 were added, later also a few N-gauge products, which are continued under Arnold today. Electrotren mainly implements models based on the Spanish model, but models for suitable countries such as France, Switzerland and Germany are also repeatedly implemented.
