Model: HO gauge DC. Electric locomotive 1046 009-5 in Valousek livery of the ÖBB.
Prototype: The first vehicles of the electric baggage railcar designated as series 4061 were procured in 1956 by the ÖBB.

A total of 25 examples of this series left the workshops of the various manufacturers by 1959. Since the luggage compartment was only used very rarely, it was reclassified as the 1046 locomotive series in 1976. Initially dressed in green with a silver trim, their area of ??responsibility was light passenger train service. Leading the express trains "Venezia" (Vienna South - Tarvisio) and "Mozart" (Vienna West - Munich) should be mentioned as outstanding achievements. They could also be observed in front of the TEE wing train "Blauer Enzian" between Rosenheim and Zell am See and back to Munich.

In the 1970s the color changed to blood orange or some green locomotives got reseda green trim lines. Only road number 1046 009 was given a color scheme based on the so-called "Valousek design" without being given a major repair with a large part being renewed.

From 1987, 13 locomotives underwent a "complete overhaul". These machines were then easy to distinguish from the "old building locomotives" by the new locomotive body with a double-bent front end. While the first three "HG conversion 1046s" still had scissor pantographs, all other modern single-arm pantographs were fitted. Later, the scissor pantographs were also exchanged for single-spar pantographs.

In 2003, the regular use of the 1046 series at ÖBB ended.
