Prototype: The L45H diesel-hydraulic bogie locomotive, built in large numbers by the vehicle and machine manufacturer FAUR in Bucharest (Romania) between 1967 and 1985, ran on many Eastern European railways and was also used on industrial and works railways. Today the 450 HP strong and 10.25 m long narrow-gauge locomotives for 750-1000 mm gauge are still in use in Romania (series 87), Poland (Lxd2), Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary (Mk45). Some of them have since made their way to Germany as popular train service locomotives for the Sächsische Dampfeisenbahn Gesellschaft mbH (SDG - formerly BVO Bahn GmbH), the Ybbstalbahn mountain line of the ÖGLB in Austria and even the Mediterranean island of Corsica, where they were partially repowered.
In the development and production, great emphasis is placed on uncompromising replication, also, if possible, entire train sets are offered. Narrow gauge track systems in H0e and H0m as well as a track system in 0m complete the Bemo range.
