Model: OO gauge DC. Gordon, the big locomotive with moving eyes.

Prototype: Gordon is a blue 4-6-2 steam locomotive (wheel arrangement "Pacific") with tender number 4. Gordon first appeared in 1945 in the first book of Reverend Wilbert Awdry's The Railway Series, entitled "The Three Railway Engines", and two other books in the series are dedicated to him, No. 8 "Gordon the Big Engine" and No. 31 "Gordon, the High Speed Engine". He pulls the express cars. All of the Railway Series locomotives are based on real historic locomotives; Gordon is believed to be based on a Gresley Pacific prototype that was never built, but for which plans exist, as it is a 4-6-2 that resembles the Flying Scotsman, an LNER A3 Class locomotive.

Together with Hornby and Dapol, Bachmann is one of the big three in the UK model railway market. Bachmann UK models are characterized by high attention to detail and prototypical realizations. As is usual on the English model railway market, great importance is attached to a large number of variants. In addition to model railroads, Bachmann also offers a selection of accessories and buildings based on English models.
