The new ESU PowerPack Mini can be optionally connected to all ESU decoders of the fourth generation (ie: LokPilot V4.0, LokPilot micro V4.0, LokSound Fx V4.0, LokSound V4.0, LokSound micro V4.0 or LokSound V4.0 M4) and fifth generation (LokSound 5 and LokSound 5 micro) are connected and provides your locomotive with reliable energy when driving over dirt and long routes. Its energy storage (with 1 Farad capacity) will buffer both the noise and light and engine functions, allowing your models to continue for up to 4 - 8 seconds without power, depending on power consumption. The PowerPack Mini has an integrated charging circuit and is controlled by the decoder. It can therefore remain in the locomotive while programming. The charging current is also limited to prevent excessive load on your booster, if several models are in use. The buffer time can be limited by means of a CV decoder side, so that red signals also lead to an accurate signal. Although significantly smaller than its predecessor, however, the space requirement of the PowerPack Mini of approx. 15.7 mm x 9.7 mm x 13 mm must be taken into account during installation. Between the decoder and PowerPack Mini, a 3-pin cable connection is required. The cable is already soldered to the PowerPack Mini, but must be soldered on the decoder side itself. Please note that the PowerPack automatically switches off automatically in analog mode: buffering is therefore not possible in analog mode.

ESU has existed for over 25 years and is only known to most model railroaders because of its innovative digital technology (decoder and system control), but since 2012 also because of suitable, innovative and realistic implementations of locomotives, passenger cars and freight cars. The digital center ECoS, LokPilot 5, LokSound 5 and the Nano decoders are the distance horses in the ESU range. Modellbahn Union also cooperates very closely with ESU and has already had exclusive sound models implemented for its own products as well as remaining stock. At the same time, further exclusive models in the rolling area are sought, as well as close cooperation in the implementation of Modellbahn Union's own products.
