Model: HO gauge AC. With digital decoder mfx + and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel in the boiler. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive and oil tender are largely made of metal. Set up for smoke generator 7226. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel and the smoke generator can be retrofitted, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting can also be controlled digitally. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white light emitting diodes (LED). Close coupling with kinematics between the locomotive and tender. Kinematics-guided close coupling with NEM shaft at the rear of the tender and at the front of the locomotive. Minimum radius of 360 mm that can be driven on. Piston rod protection tubes, brake hoses and imitation screw couplings are included. Length over the buffers 26 cm. The matching four-axle self-unloading wagons of type Fad 155 "Erz IIId" for transporting iron ore can be found under item number 46213 as a set with 12 different car numbers in the Märklin H0 assortment. Another 6 cars with different car numbers can be found in the Trix H0 assortment under item number 24150, with details of the AC wheel sets required.

Prototype: Long Heinrich Oil Jumbo. It was an impressive spectacle when two heavy freight steam locomotives of the 44 oil series (from 1968: 043) hauled the ore trains "Langer Heinrich" with up to 4,000 tonnes and at speeds of up to 80 km / h from Emden to the Ruhr area or Saarland . This use of the oil-fired machines was for many years the high point of heavy freight traffic at DB and can now also be reproduced on the model railroad. From 1955, the DB had equipped a total of 32 class 44 locomotives with a main oil firing system, which resulted in an increase in output of around 190 PSi. Until the end of steam traction at the DB in October 1977, the last 043s were in use at the Rheine and Emden depots. Heavy goods train steam locomotive series 043, with oil tender of the standard design 22T34 of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Black / red basic paint scheme. Driver's cab with two side windows, with Witte smoke deflectors of the standard version, forward wheel set with spoked wheels, without smoke chamber central lock, with Indusi magnets on both sides. Locomotive road number 043 087-6. The car looks as it did around 1971.
In 2009 Märklin celebrated its 150th anniversary. However, from an initially quite wide range of toys, the product range concentrated over time on the manufacture of electric railways in different gauges. The excellent quality of the products made the name Märklin synonymous with model railways worldwide. Even today, the material metal is an essential element in the manufacture of locomotives, which thereby gain additional value in addition to their proverbial reliability and performance.

Märklin H0: The majority of Märklin products are manufactured in this gauge on a scale of 1:87. Due to the high operational reliability of the Märklin H0 three-wire alternating current system, Märklin has contributed to making this gauge the most widely used in the world. All Märklin H0 locomotives have been digitally controllable as standard since 2000.

Märklin Z-gauge: Model railway enthusiasts do not only opt for Z-gauge on a scale of 1:220 when space is limited. In Europe Märklin is the only large-scale manufacturer of Z-gauge, which appeals not only to passionate layout builders but also to collectors.
