The models are handcrafted from brass, are equipped with a high-quality precision motor and of course digital DCC with an ESU decoder. Each model corresponds to the respective epoch and is a unique piece in itself. The series is limited to a total of 170 machines.
Prototype: In 1911 the then SMB (Solothurn-Münster-Bahn) ordered a heavy passenger and goods locomotive from SLM (Swiss Locomotive Factory in Winterthur). It is a single locomotive, which corresponded to the C 4/5 constructed by the SBB at the same time in terms of running gear and drive. The performance program for this large single locomotive was: 250 tons of train weight at 20 km/h with a gradient of 25 per thousand. Permitted V/max 65 km/h. What was striking was the large axle pressure of 16 tons, which required really good tracks.
In the years at the SMB, no weight and revision data were written down. The note "SMB no 11" was only applied to the buffer beams, probably in white at the time. The locomotive remained in operation for a very long time, but from 1933 it was only slightly under steam, later as a reserve in the Moutier depot and was officially scrapped in 1966. The machine was then installed for a long time as a memorial locomotive in front of Oberdorf station at the foot of the Weissenstein. After 1986, the locomotive came to the Bern Steam Railway Group as a "historical locomotive". The last total work-up was carried out in RAW in Meinigen in 1992. After a number of historical journeys, the locomotive is currently being overhauled again at the Dampf-Bahn, Bern in the Konolfingen depot. It is still unclear when the locomotive will be operational again.
The first model produced was a steam locomotive 141 R in H0 gauge. In the following years, Fulgurex brought further models in gauges 0; 1 and N onto the market.
Fulgurex has always been known for its finely detailed handcrafted locomotives.
