The set contains: 2 pieces of SMD LEDs of type 0603 cold white (headlights), 2 pieces of SMD LEDs of type 0603 cold white (position lights at the top), 2 pieces of SMD LEDs of type 0603 red (rear lights), 6 pieces of SMD LEDs of type 0603 yellow ( side position lights), approx. 2m of super-thin enamelled copper wire strand
Notes on using the LEDs
Operation on a floor-standing model with a transformer: In order to be able to operate these LEDs on a standard transformer with an AC voltage output, you need a suitable series resistor (e.g. 4.7 KOhm) and a protective diode (e.g. 1N4148) to protect the AC voltage that is harmful to the LED to make direct voltage.
Operation in a mobile car system model: The battery voltage of 1.2V or 2.4V is usually not enough to make standard LEDs light up. You have to distinguish the following cases.
Battery voltage 1.2V (vehicle with one battery cell) - cars and other small vehicles: You need a voltage converter for each LED color, as red, yellow, orange and green LEDs have a forward voltage of 2.00V and white and blue LEDs have a forward voltage of 3 .00V required.
Battery voltage 2.4V (vehicle with two batteries) - trucks and buses: Red, yellow, orange and green LEDs can be connected directly to the battery via a 100 ohm series resistor. White and blue LEDs require a forward voltage of 3.00V, which can only be provided via a voltage converter.
