Model: HO gauge. The Unimog, whose frog eyes gave it the same nickname. The Unimog celebrated its national premiere as the designated Mercedes-Benz with the star on its forehead in 1953 on the large agricultural stage of the DLG in Cologne. The designation of the series had changed at that time: the 401 stood for the short wheelbase and the 402 for the long wheelbase. In 1955, the Boehringer Ochsenkopf finally had to give up the sign of its ancestry. The model appears prototypically with a closed driver's cab, plus an open tarpaulin. The fenders of the model and the platform are designed separately, and the spare wheel is waiting behind the driver's cab. In fact, the headlights stick straight ahead like frog eyes next to the shy radiator grille - the Westfalia cab of the first Unimog generation did not have to wait long for its nickname.
Driver's cab as well as platform and rims in wine red. Chassis with trailer hitch as well as cardan shaft and rear fenders, but also black bumper and radiator grille. Platform insert in wine red, silver-grey soft top that is open at the rear. Silver-plated headlight rings on the front, Unimog lettering printed in white. Radiator grille with a silver frame and Mercedes-Benz star.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
