With Lotti the cow: Düsseldorf transporter as a school milk express. The second generation of the Düsseldorf van was soon to leave its predecessor, the L 319, behind in terms of appreciation and distribution. In 1967 Mercedes-Benz presented the L 406 as a new series and thus adapted the look to the cubic generation. Until well into the eighties, the van was to become widespread as a bread-and-butter car. And of course it made generations of schoolchildren happy when every morning the white Westmilch vehicle with the cow Lotti on the flank stopped in front of the school yard and delivered the school milk. After taking over DKW production in Düsseldorf, Mercedes-Benz presented its first “light” van in 1955, which was a great success. The Mercedes-Benz L 319 meant significantly more spaciousness than the competition before the second generation with the L 406 cemented this reputation. Later, the sprinter would follow in his footsteps.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
