Model: HO gauge. With this taxi, the suitcases disappeared under the front hood. The VW 411 cut an impressive figure as a taxi limousine, but the cab trade did not really want to exchange the Wolfsburg car with a rear engine for the Mercedes-Benz diesels that were omnipresent at the time. There wasn't enough space under the bonnet to stow the passengers' suitcases there, although the four-door car with the distinctive turn signals and rear lights offered adequate space for passengers. The 411 remained a rarity at German taxi stands, but it fits in effectively with the series of historic vehicles used by Wiking's cab guild.
Light ivory body, silver chassis. Interior kept beige. Signal yellow taxi sign with black printing and negative taxi lettering. Silver boss cap with VW logo. VW logo printed on the front and silver decorative stripes. Indicators printed in traffic orange. Black trim strips on the sides and silver-plated door handles. Red printed taillights.

Wiking started their first production of traffic models in Berlin. For 85 years, impressive models have been created there that are the mirror image of German automobile manufacturing. Now the Wiking range is designed and produced in south-west Germany by the Sieper Group. The range is constantly growing with new examples such as fire engine turntable ladders and passenger cars, but also current tractors as well as various classics. Not only current examples are brought out in miniature, but also forgotten models.
