The BM2 module is available for the demanding model railroader. Not only does it allow the train to stop at "Hp 0" before the signal, it also provides the installation of a slow-travel section for "Hp 2". The distance before the signal is divided into a driving and a braking section. The length of the riding section must be such that the longest train there completely fits into it. The length of the braking section depends (as with BM1) on the set braking deceleration or the set braking distance.
Driving and braking sections are supplied by the corresponding outputs of the BM2. In order to be able to influence also pushed trains with the BM2, the leading wagon of the pushed train must be provided with a power consumer (for example illumination of the wagon). Thus, the control car receives with the direction of travel changing top and tail lights. Even with the BM2 it is ensured that when the section is driven in the opposite direction no braking is triggered. Dimensions: 53 x 60 x 20 mm.

ABC: brakes, block sections, shuttle trains with digital plus
Digital plus ABC (AutomaticBrakingControl) technology, in conjunction with all current Digital plus locomotive decoders (as well as all older Digital plus locomotive decoders that support ABC, such as the GOLD and SILVER series), enables hardware-oriented train control. With little effort, ABC does exactly what model railroaders want: precise stopping in front of signals and passage in the opposite direction. Three brake modules are currently offered by the ABC technology:
BM1 realizes the stop before a signal
In addition to the stop function, BM2 also offers a slow-speed function
BM3 enables an automatic route block.
These assemblies affect track sections before the signal, whereby the decoder in the locomotive receives the information about the state of the signal, depending on the direction of travel.
How does ABC work?
ABC devices create track asymmetry, which is detected by ABC-enabled decoders and interpreted according to the individual settings made in the CVs, for example:
decelerate and stop, drive slowly, decelerate, stop and drive off after a defined waiting time in the opposite direction (commute).
The driving information on the track (speed, direction) is not changed by ABC, which is one of the reasons why locomotives with decoders that do not control ABC, just continue to drive normally and unchanged.

What else can ABC do?
While staying in the asymmetrical digital voltage section, the locomotive remains fully controllable:
Functions can be switched, programming during operation (PoM) is possible, the locomotive can move backwards away from the signal, maneuvering when the signal is closed is possible, there are no short circuits when crossing the separation points.

Der Einstieg von Lenz in die Baugröße 0 ist nicht nur bei den "altgedienten" Spur-Nullern gut angekommen, sondern hat auch zahlreiche Modellbahner inspiriert, in/mit dieser großartigen Spur einzusteigen. Lenz baut auch hier das Programm kontinuierlich aus, dabei wird aber nach wie vor auf größtmögliche Vorbildtreue, außergewöhnliche Technik und hohen Qualitätsstandard Wert gelegt.
