Where can I get models by Modellbahn Union?
You can purchase our models at well sorted modelrailway dealers or directly in our Onlineshop.

Is Modelbahn Union a totally new company?
While Modellbahn Union is a new brand, it is based both on our experience of importing and distributing japanese model trains, and on the long experience of our british producer. You can therefore say, that we have put quite some experience into this new company.

When will models be delivered?
We are currently planning to release one fully new developed model each year. In addition we will release new versions of existing wagons.
New models from Japan and Great Britain are coming in every month, please visit the matching categories in the Onlineshop to see this items.

Why am I being asked to place a preorder at my dealer?
The different running numbers of the cars are limited. If you are interested in a specific number we would like to ask you to make a prereservation at your modelrailway dealer. Models from Japan and Great Britain are also produced in limited quantities only.

Where will models of Modellbahn-Union be produced?
The production of our models will take place in Great Britain, or more exactly in Wales. Therefore our products are a true "Made in Europe" product.

What scale will the N gauge models have?
Since the models are being developed for the continental european market, they will be scale 1/160. However this might not be the case on models that are released in a very small quantity. In this case the different scale (which has nothing to do with a loss in compatibility with N gauge systems) will be mentioned in the product description.

Will there be models in other scales?
At the moment we are concentrating our own production efforts on N scale. The product ranges of our import brands already include models in HO, OO and O gauge.

Are all models compatible to other N scale model trains?
Yes, since all parts are being build following the NMRA NEM guidelines, they can be used together with all other N scale models. The same counts for all imported models from Japan and Great Britain.

Are the models limited in quantity ?
Yes, each running number of a colour scheme is limited to 300 pieces. Additional runs of the same colour scheme will therefore always be released with new running numbers.

Will there be additional versions of the telescopic hood wagon and other wagons?
Additional versions are planned for the future, if interest in them is strong enough. If you have any suggestion for a model not yet released please don´t hesitate to let us know.

When can I see the first samples?
As soon as we have first pre-production drawings and samples, the pictures will be shown here on the webpage. You can also see all available samples at our show booth.

What does the stock information in the Onlineshop tell me?
Stock information is based on our warehouse stock and on the information by our manufacturers and suppliers. Deliveries from the UK do reach us every 2 weeks, deliveries from Japan every 5 weeks. Since not all stock information from the suppliers might be accurate at all times, items might be unavailable or subject to re-production despite another stock information.
